This time we’re speaking with author Alpha Muluh.

Alpha is fascinated with creating cultures that keep people around in behavioral health organizations. With almost 24 years in behavioral health, his perspective spans both ends of the org chart: nine years as co founder and former co-owner and operator of a multi-facility Arizona behavioral health agency providing 24-hour services to members with severe mental illness — and, in 2026, six weeks working frontline behavioral health technician shifts across Valley organizations, field-testing the gap between the culture leadership describes and the culture staff experience.

His book, Compassion in Action: Transforming Workplace Culture & Elite Talent Retention in Behavioral Healthcare, launches this October. Built on his Paver Pyramid and 7-Step Compassion in Action Communication Framework, his methodology now serves client organizations across four states. Alpha holds a master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University and an LL.M. from Arizona State University.

Alpha is also deeply involved in community service and is a former Board Member at Global Ties Arizona, Northern Arizona Independent Oversight Committee, Mandela Washington Coach, Strategic Consultant to Dean/Director General at Thunderbird for 100 Hundred Million Learners Program, and founder of the Excellence and Impact Foundation. Alpha lives in Phoenix with his four teeange children.
