The U.S. Small Business Administration and the National Veteran Business Development Council last week officially certified InField Sales Pro LLC dba Vision-e as a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB). The SBA certification officially grants Vision-e eligibility to compete for set-aside contracting opportunities directly with the Federal Government as well as partnering with prime contractors with diversity supplier requirements.

The Fiscal Year 2021 National Defense Authorization Act transferred VOSB certification authority from the VA to the SBA effective January 1, 2023. The SBA’s public directory of VOSBs, including InField Sales Pro dba Vision-e, is available at veterans.certify.sba.gov.

The NVBDC, meanwhile, is a non-governmental certifying organization that ensures adequate documentation of veteran status and creates partnership opportunities with its more than 140 corporate partners.

“This is a unique and exciting opportunity for us as a Salesforce ISV Partner and 100% veteran-owned company,” said Vision-e President and Air Force veteran, Mike Lightner. “Very few Salesforce partners are certified Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, yet Salesforce is the leading CRM solution among Fortune 500 corporations. This creates a true win-win opportunity for Salesforce clients looking to increase veteran presence in their diversity supplier programs.”

According to fellow Air Force veteran and Vision-e Founder/CEO, George Turano, the announcements could not have come at a better time.

“Companies are scrambling to reinforce their data privacy and security posture to comply with an avalanche of data privacy laws and to stem mounting losses from cyber crime. Our new VOSB certification offers these companies the double benefit of our enterprise-level data privacy & security solutions as well as a strong, diverse supply chain that includes veteran-owned businesses.”
