2026 NVBDC NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND VETERAN MARKETPLACE
MISSION: POSSIBLE

The 2026 NVBDC National Conference — Mission: POSSIBLE is bringing an impressive mix of corporations, government organizations, economic development agencies, business resource partners, and Veteran-Owned Businesses together in Detroit.

Taking place October 4–6, 2026, at MotorCity Casino Hotel, Mission: POSSIBLE is built around a simple objective:

Connect veteran capability to real marketplace opportunity.

That mission reflects the direction of NVBDC 3.0, which moves beyond certification alone to help Veteran-Owned Businesses become business ready, procurement ready, opportunity ready, growth ready, and ultimately mission ready. NVBDC’s mission is to certify, prepare, connect, and accelerate veteran businesses so they can compete, grow, and deliver measurable value in the marketplace.

Look Who’s Coming to Mission: POSSIBLE

This year’s conference will bring Veteran-Owned Businesses face-to-face with an expanding group of major companies and organizations representing automotive, energy, healthcare, financial services, technology, manufacturing, construction, mobility, professional services, and other industries.

Organizations announced or participating include:

Adient, Apollo, BD, Burns & McDonnell, Consumers Energy, Dell Technologies, DTE Energy, EY, Fifth Third Bank, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, Advocate Health, PNC Bank, Pride Mobility, PuroClean’s PuroVet, Quanta, Target, Toyota, Stellantis, Verizon, Yanfeng, JPMorgan Chase, Populus Group, IDS Packaging & Automation, Cornerstone, eDOC and other participating organizations.

Mission: POSSIBLE Brings Corporate America, Government and Business Resources Together in Detroit

That variety matters.

Veteran-Owned Businesses do not all serve the same industry, and corporate procurement needs extend across thousands of products, services, technologies, and business categories.

Mission: POSSIBLE gives veteran entrepreneurs an opportunity to identify where their capabilities fit and begin conversations with organizations they may otherwise have difficulty reaching.

Government and Economic Development Are Part of the Mission

Corporate access is only one component of this year’s conference.

The City of Detroit will also be part of Mission: POSSIBLE, adding an important local government connection to a conference taking place in the heart of Detroit.

The conference will also include organizations and resources connected to economic development, government markets, and business growth, including the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), USAID, and other public-sector and business-support organizations.

NVBDC 3.0 is deliberately expanding the opportunity landscape for Veteran-Owned Businesses beyond traditional corporate procurement to include commercial, government, federal, and international markets.

That creates a more complete business ecosystem for veteran entrepreneurs.

Resources to Help Veteran Businesses Grow

Mission: POSSIBLE is not simply about introducing businesses to buyers.

It is about helping businesses become better prepared to pursue opportunities once those introductions happen.

Participating resource and business organizations include groups such as the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Small Business Association of Michigan, State Fund, U.S. Veterans Magazine, and other organizations focused on business development, financing, visibility, education, economic opportunity, and veteran entrepreneurship.

NVBDC 3.0 recognizes that certification can open a door, but certification alone does not create contracts.

A successful supplier also needs strategy, relationships, procurement knowledge, operational capability, access to capital, and the ability to scale.

That is why NVBDC is evolving from primarily a certification organization into a strategic connector, readiness platform, growth accelerator, and trusted business ecosystem.

Corporate Procurement Meets Veteran Capability

Veterans bring capabilities to business that extend well beyond their ownership status.

Military service develops leadership, integrity, accountability, adaptability, resilience, discipline, problem-solving, teamwork, and the ability to execute when conditions change.

Those are business capabilities.

Corporations today are dealing with increasingly complex missions of their own: supply-chain resilience, workforce challenges, operational disruption, technology transformation, global competition, and rapidly changing customer expectations.

NVBDC 3.0 is about connecting those challenges with Veteran-Owned Businesses capable of helping solve them.

From Certified to Mission Ready

NVBDC defines a mission-ready veteran supplier as a company that is:

  • Certified — ownership and eligibility have been validated.
  • Business ready — equipped to compete and grow.
  • Procurement ready — prepared to meet corporate and government purchasing requirements.
  • Opportunity ready — positioned to pursue meaningful opportunities.
  • Growth ready — capable of scaling with customers and markets.
  • Mission ready — prepared to deliver when the opportunity arrives.

Mission: POSSIBLE gives businesses an opportunity to put that readiness into action.

1:1 Matchmaking Creates Direct Access

One of the most valuable components of the conference will be 1:1 corporate matchmaking.

Qualified Veteran-Owned Businesses will have opportunities to sit directly across from corporate representatives, introduce their companies, discuss capabilities, learn more about sourcing needs, and begin developing relationships.

NVBDC 3.0 is also placing greater emphasis on helping businesses understand procurement priorities, supplier requirements, capability expectations, sourcing needs, and how to prepare for productive conversations with corporate buyers.

The objective is not simply more introductions.

It is better-prepared businesses having better conversations with the right organizations.

The Veteran Marketplace

The Veteran Marketplace provides another way for veteran entrepreneurs to put their businesses directly in front of conference attendees.

Participating Veteran-Owned Businesses can showcase their products, services, brands, and capabilities while meeting corporate representatives, potential partners, fellow entrepreneurs, and conference attendees throughout the event.

It is another opportunity to move from being simply certified to being seen, understood, connected, and remembered.

PuroClean and PuroVet Lead as Presenting Sponsor

PuroClean, through the PuroVet program, is serving as Presenting Sponsor of the 2026 NVBDC National Conference.

PuroVet brings an additional entrepreneurship component to Mission: POSSIBLE by giving veterans interested in business ownership an opportunity to explore franchising and learn how military leadership and operational skills can translate into building a scalable business.

One Conference. An Entire Business Ecosystem.

What makes Mission: POSSIBLE different is not any single company, government agency, resource organization, or matchmaking meeting.

It is bringing all of them together.

  • Corporate procurement teams.
  • Major national companies.
  • Government organizations.
  • Economic development agencies.
  • Business resource partners.
  • Veteran entrepreneurs.
  • Certified Veteran-Owned Businesses.

NVBDC 3.0 envisions a marketplace where veteran businesses are recognized not simply as certified suppliers, but as trusted, capable, strategic business partners.

The goal is measurable impact:

  • More corporate connections.
  • More procurement opportunities.
  • More market access.
  • More supplier relationships.
  • More business growth.
  • More long-term enterprise partnerships.

That is what Mission: POSSIBLE is designed to create.
