Jeffery Daar – Senior Principal at Daar & Newman, Lawyers
Jeffery Daar is a principal of the law firm Daar & Newman. Jeff has more than 25 years of extensive experience in cross-border disputes including both in courts and arbitration. He also serves as an arbitrator in both domestic and international arbitrations and is a panelist with many arbitral institutions. His diverse expertise includes international arbitration and cross-border litigation and transactions, complex state and federal litigation, recognition and enforcement of foreign money judgments and arbitral awards, class actions, employment, trade secrets and technology disputes, insurance including insurance insolvency, appellate work, private post-secondary schools and colleges, and intellectual property. He has extensive experience with provisional remedies including preliminary injunctions, attachments, and other prejudgment relief including in international arbitrations.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has spoken all over the world on international arbitration and cross-border litigation. Jeff is the current President of California Arbitration, Inc. (CalArb) and a past Chair of the ADR Committee of the California Lawyers Association, and International Law Sections of The State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar. Jeff and Daar & Newman are listed in Best Lawyers in America® - for the field of International Arbitration – Commercial.
Sarita D. Jackson, Ph.D. – President and CEO at GRIIT (Global Research Institute of International Trade)
Sarita D. Jackson, PhD is the founder, president, and CEO of the Global Research Institute of International Trade (GRIIT), a US-based think-tank and consulting firm. Her firm saves firms time and money, as well as mitigates risks, as they expand globally via up-to-date, data-driven, customized market research and strategy development.
Dr. Jackson is also an author, TEDx speaker, and business school instructor. Her book, International Trade in Services: Effective Practice and Policy, was recently published by Routledge Taylor and Francis Group. She received her B.A. degree in broadcast journalism and Spanish from the University of Southern California and earned a Ph.D. in political science (emphasis on international political economy) from Brown University.

Stacey Dobak – Senior Business Development Manager at Convera
Stacey Dobak is a fintech sales and partnerships leader with extensive experience helping small and midsize companies manage global payments, FX risk, and cross-border growth. In her role at Convera, she partners with CFOs and finance leaders to implement scalable international payment and treasury solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and risk management. As an advisory board member of the Global Chamber Los Angeles, Stacey supports the chapter’s mission to advance international business growth and cross-border collaboration.
