The National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC) continues its national outreach campaign with a strategic appearance at the VETS25 Conference, hosted by the National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC), taking place May 13–16, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Representing NVBDC will be two of our distinguished board members, MAJ (Ret) Annette Stevenson and LTC (Ret) Kathy Poynton, both recognized leaders in veteran entrepreneurship and supplier diversity.

VETS25 is a nationally recognized conference that convenes Federal procurement decision-makers, large prime contractors, and procurement-ready small businesses. It offers a vital platform for veteran-owned businesses to network, learn, and gain direct access to contracting opportunities.

If you’re a Service-Disabled or Veteran-Owned Business (SD/VOB) ready to compete in a $122 billion corporate contracting and procurement market, make Booth 808 your first stop. NVBDC staff will be on-site to explain the value of third-party certification, how it enhances your credibility, and how certified businesses gain access to Fortune 500 corporate members seeking diverse suppliers.

LTC (Ret) Kathy Poynton, also serving as Director of the NVBDC Military and Veteran Organization (MVO) Task Force, will be sharing how NVBDC is uniting the efforts of military and veteran nonprofits, associations, and service organizations in support of veteran business development.

MAJ (Ret) Annette Stevenson, a dedicated advocate for veteran entrepreneurs, will be at the booth to discuss how NVBDC certification empowers businesses and creates real-world procurement opportunities.

NVBDC’s presence at  VETS25 is part of a broader initiative to elevate the role of veteran-owned businesses across both domestic and global supply chains. This appearance comes on the heels of NVBDC’s participation in the 2025 EXIM Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., where NVBDC served as a Silver Sponsor and engaged with key leaders from EXIM Bank, the SBA, ITA/U.S. Commercial Service, and USTDA to develop international strategies for veteran-owned exporters.

Together, these events reflect NVBDC’s growing national and international footprint, underscoring our commitment to helping certified veteran-owned businesses access meaningful, scalable, and sustainable opportunities.
