The National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC) is proud to announce the launch of its 2024 JROTC Scholarship Fundraising Campaign, marking five years of dedicated support to our nation’s future leaders.
Under the theme “Investing in Our Future Leaders,” this year’s campaign continues the momentum of previous efforts to provide financial assistance to Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) students across all 50 states.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, NVBDC’s JROTC Scholarship Program raises funds annually to support these future leaders. This year, with longtime partner Denny’s support through their “Hungry for Education” (HFE) program, Denny’s will sponsor five scholarships. Denny’s ongoing commitment to education and the veteran community aligns perfectly with NVBDC’s mission to support veteran and military-affiliated students.
“We are incredibly proud to have Denny’s join us in our mission to invest in the future of young leaders across the country,” said General Dick Miller, President of NVBDC. “Their partnership in the Hungry for Education program and support for our JROTC scholarships has been invaluable.”
NVBDC is calling on companies and individuals to contribute to this important cause with a modest $1,000 donation, which can make a significant difference in the lives of JROTC students. For those able to donate more, NVBDC welcomes larger contributions to further enhance the reach of the program.
Donation Levels:
Community Donations: $25 – $1,000
Corporate Donations: $1,500 – $100,000
Please note that checks are preferred. This will help us reduce processing costs by 17% and help more JROTC Cadets attend college.
Key Dates:
- October 29-30, 2024: NVBDC will host its annual National Veteran Business Matchmaking Event in Downtown Detroit, where the organization plans to announce the total funds raised for the 2024 campaign.
- November 11, 2024 (Veterans Day): For those unable to donate by the October event, contributions received by Veterans Day will be recognized in a subsequent announcement.
NVBDC’s JROTC Scholarship Program provides life-changing opportunities for students, and your support is vital to ensuring its continued success.
From all of us at NVBDC, thank you for your generosity and for helping us make a difference in the lives of this nation’s future leaders.
