First Financial Veterans Leasing, a SD/VOB, has been awarded a $7.8 million leasing contract from an international automotive company, as a result of introductions made by the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC).
According to First Financial Veterans Leasing Founder & President, Garry Foster, “We could not have done this without the NVBDC…I had the good fortune to meet Keith King, President of the NVBDC at the VA Engagement Conference this past November. Being a Veteran, I wanted to serve the NVBDC, offering to become a Certification Volunteer. During my conversation with Keith, he encouraged me to attend the Flint, Michigan event two weeks later, which ultimately led to this award”.
According to Foster, “Over the past decade we have continued to provide Equipment Leasing services on asset classes such as Information Technology, Manufacturing, Material Handling, and Medical Equipment for Fortune 1000 companies.”
In addition Foster commented, “Veterans Leasing is the only dually certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Equipment Leasing Company in the country, and Unlike many Veteran Owned companies, we have implemented a succession plan, myself being a Service-Disabled Vietnam Veteran, and my partner David Myers, a Service-Disabled Gulf War Veteran, which ensures our ability to serve our clients for decades to come”.
Foster went on to say, “We are grateful for the assurance through certification that the NVBDC provides to their corporate sponsors. The NVBDC provides constant encouragement for companies, like this international automotive company, to do business with Service-Disabled Veteran Businesses, like First Financial Veterans Leasing. It is our pleasure to have the opportunity to serve these companies after serving our great Country”.
NVBDC Certification Recognized By International Automotive Company.
Appreciation for this automotive company’s commitment to supporting Veterans through its Corporate Diversity program was expressed by Keith King.
“We are also gratified that this company has chosen to become a Corporate Member of the NVBDC,” King said, “and we thank them for their support.”
