Keith King

Keith King - President

Keith’s 35 years of volunteer efforts on behalf of his fellow Veterans has been fueled by his belief that he was one of the lucky ones who survived his Vietnam tour and “made it home”.  Success in his personal and business life has allowed him to exercise the passion he has to help those who were not as fortunate.  Through the years, Keith has taken on a variety of leadership roles on the National, State and Local levels with the same purpose of helping his Brother and Sister Veterans in whichever capacity he served or the tasks required.  He is committed to helping today’s veterans as they transition out of the military and back into American society. In March 2012, Keith was named the State of Michigan, Mid-West Regional and National Veteran Small Business Champion by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the first Veteran from Michigan to win this national award. Keith served in the U.S. Army.


Richard (Dick) MillerRichard (Dick) Miller - 1st Vice President

Brigadier General Miller (Ret) served in the U.S. Army and then the National Guard for 30 years, ultimately becoming the Deputy Commanding General of the 38th Infantry Division, Indiana National Guard.



Darrol Brown - 2nd Vice President

Darrol served 12 years as the Nevada State Director, U.S. Department of Labor, Veterans’ Employment and Training Service. Darrol has been involved in many aspects of Veteran programs and employment issues over the course of his career. He has served on the NVBDC Board for over two year. Darrol lives in Nevada, but as a former Regional Board of Directors member of Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), he covered seven Western states for that organization. Darrol served 3+ years in the U.S. Air Force as a Communications Analysis Specialist, stationed at Misawa Air Base, Japan and Ramasun Army Station, Thailand. He has been vigorously involved in a wide range of voluntary activities related to Veterans' affairs over the years.

Charles R. BrownCharles R. Brown - Treasurer

A Certified Public Accountant, Charles has held senior financial positions in both local and state public organizations as well as private industry. He holds degrees from Detroit Business College and the University of Detroit as well as post graduate education from the University of Chicago and the Federal Reserve Bank Trust School. In addition, Charles holds the following professional certifications: Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Government Finance Manager, and FCPA Compliance and Anti-Corruption Training. Charles served in the U.S. Army.


bioJohn Oleson - Secretary

John Oleson, Senior Principal at Fulcrum Edge, Inc. has a broad range of experience including growing companies and positioning them for investment capital, mergers and sale, and also assisting them in conducting work with federal agencies, particularly the military. He also served twenty years in the United States Air Force as a Medical Services Officer (career responsibilities included Deputy Executive Director Resources Management, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, The Pentagon; Medical Center/Hospital Chief Operating Officer; Team Chief: The Medical Inspector General). He earned a B.S. degree in Business from Ferris State University and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Webster University. Additionally, he is a graduate of the US Air University (War College and Command and Staff schools). During his federal career he also served as a strategic plans officer and was certified at the Department of Defense with a Top Secret Clearance (SCI) level.

    bioJohn E. Taylor - Board Member

    John E. Taylor is the Senior Director of Global Supplier Diversity Solutions and Member of Gonzales Financial Consulting, LLC. John recently retired from Delphi Automotive with 38 years of Supply Chain Management experience, specializing in Purchasing, Supplier Quality and Supplier Diversity Development. While at Delphi he led the multiple award winning Delphi Supplier Diversity Development process that amassed more than $8 billion in spending working with hundreds of Value driven Minority, Women owned and Veteran owned Business Enterprises.

    John has been actively engaged in the Diversity space on many levels since 2002 from Local to Regional, National and International. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council and the Great Lakes Women’s Business Enterprise Council. Additionally, he served in key Leadership roles such as chairing the NMSDC - Manufactures Industry Group and an inaugural member of WBENC Automotive Industry Group.
